Money$$$

Why is it that in school kids are taught history, science, english, etc, but nothing about managing your finances? I am currently reading the book Rich Dad Poor Dad and I honestly think that everyone in America should read this book.

Money is not taught in schools. Schools focus on scholastic and professional skills, but not on financial skills. This explains how smart bankers, doctors and accountants who earned excellent grades in school may struggle financially all of their lives. Our staggering national debt is due in large part to highly educated politicians and government officials making financial decisions with little or no training on the subject of money. Pg. 16 Rich Dad Poor Dad
I believe that while you are young you still have the opportunity to gain control of your income and figure out how to work for  you and not be working for the money alone. As the book explains, people who explains, "There is a difference between being poor and broke. Broke is temporary, and poor is eternal."

Ask for this book for Christmas. It's an easy read and teaches valuable lesson.
